Description: A simple column becomes a nautical design element when it is wrapped in strips of rattan. This is the case with the Salome Table Lamp, which calls to mind seaside rooms open to the ocean's breezes. The hardware that fastens the shade to the rattan lamp wears brass finish, and the finial is also wrapped in rattan--the shape a smaller-scaled version of the columnar body. A design detail of note is how the texture of the shade echoes the ruddiness of the rope.
