Not only is this painting intriguing because it's simple and symmetrical composition and striking design, but the process of creating this piece of art is just as interesting. A reverse painting is when the artist paints the back of a piece of glass or lucite. This creates a painting that is adhered to the underside of the material, which allows the paint to be encapsulated by the glass/lucite. Naturally it gives the painting a life of it's own with a natural sheen. Absolutely stunning and easy to clean! (Lucite is an acrylic material which makes it more durable than glass).
